Game Report – Week 4

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

The U12 team started the day off on Saturday with a 5-0 victory over the Orange Stars in the U12 8v8 league. Shay and Jess each had 2 goals and Aly had the fifth. The team followed up the early win with an impressive match that ended in a 0-0 tie against SSC. The JB 97 team dominated possession and the attack in a game that saw several scoring opportunities for our girls.

The JB 96 girls won their first game on Saturday by forfeit, as the Tsunami team failed to field a team for the game. The JB 96 had a strong showing against rival SSC in the late game on Saturday, but lost by a score of 0-2. SSC capitalized on a couple defensive mistakes (taking an early lead on a well struck free kick in the first 2 minutes of the game following a foul just outside the 18 yard box, and then finishing a 1v1 breakaway against the keeper in the first 10 minutes of the second half).
