The 96 girls had a very successful showing at State Cup this year. They were 1-1 in pool play, beating 2011 state finalist (and future 2012 state finalist) and forcing a tiebreaker in the group to move onto semi-final. Tied after head to head and goal differential, it came down to one goal against that prevented the girls from moving on. We are so proud of you…way to represent SWMO!
Five players from the Missouri Elite FC 93/94 team have made commitments to play college soccer this fall. They join ranks of several former Elite teammates playing at the collegiate level.
Brittany Baker, daughter of Phillip and Carol Baker, will attend college and play soccer for Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. The Harding Bisons are an NCAA Division II program and compete in the Great American Conference. Brittany started in the midfield throughout her career with Missouri Elite and was a great leader on and off the field. She is a graduate of Kickapoo High School where she earned Honorable Mention All Conference and second team All District soccer honors as a junior and First Team All Ozark Conference, First Team All District and Southwest All-Star Selection soccer honors her senior year.
Carsyn Beard, daughter of Charlie and Robin Beard, will attend college and play soccer for Neosho County Community College in Chanute, KS. The Neosho Lady Panthers are a NJCAA Division I program and compete in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Carsyn started as sweeper for Missouri Elite and was a force to be reckoned with on the field. She is a graduate of Lebanon High School where she earned Honorable Mention All-Conference and All-District Defensive Player of the Year soccer honors as a sophomore andFirst team All Conference, All Region, and All Conference Academic Honorable Mention as a junior and First Team All Ozark Conference, First Team All District and Southwest All-Star Selection soccer honors her senior year. In addition to being a four year varsity letterman in soccer, she played varsity volleyball her freshman and sophomore years at Lebanon.
Danielle Coffman (Danni), daughter of Kelly and Karen Coffman, will attend college and play soccer for Northeastern Oklahoma College in Miami, Oklahoma. The NEO Lady Norse are a NJCAA Division I program and compete in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference. Danielle was a starting midfielder for Missouri Elite and led the team her senior year in goals scored. She is a graduate of Marshfield High School where she earned first team All District soccer honors as a junior and First team All District and All Conference soccer honors her senior year.
Cassie Farrell, daughter of James and Renee Farrell, will attend college and play soccer for Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas. The Cowley County Tigers are a NJCAA Division I program and compete in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Cassie was a forward for Missouri Elite and a leader on the field and in the classroom. She is a graduate of Hillcrest High School where she played varsity soccer all four years of high school. In addition to being a four year varsity letterman in soccer, she played varsity softball her junior and senior years at Hillcrest.
Amanda Hinkle, daughter of Mark and Kristin Hinkle will be attending Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas. The Ravens are a NJCAA Division I program and compete in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Amanda came to the club scene late but proved to be a strong defender for Missouri Elite. She is a graduate of Branson High School where she earned Second Team All District and Second Team All Conference soccer honors her junior year and Honorable Mention All District and All Conference soccer honors her senior year. In addition to four years of varsity letters in soccer, she was also a four year letterman for varsity softball at Branson.
Missouri Elite would like to also recognize our additional seniors graduating this year that have chosen to pursue academic paths in college in lieu of soccer offers.
Sara Cook (Greenwood), daughter of Rusty and Tara Cook, will be attending school at Drury on academic scholarships.
Rachel Busiek (Central), daughter of Allen and Renee Busiek will be attending the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. She is receiving a full scholarship and majoring in Engineering.
Abigale Zimmerman (Lebanon), daughter of Gale and Jennifer Zimmerman will be attending Missouri Southern State University and studying to be a dental hygienist.
Lauren Spence (Ozark), daughter of Bill and Kim Spence will be attending Missouri State University on academic and leadership scholarships.
Amanda Leckrone (Parkview), daughter of Jim and Donna Leckrone will be attending Ozarks Technical College. Amanda plans to major in Early Childhood Education.
Due to the inclement weather rolling through on Monday morning, the Elite Soccer Camp has been shifted back a date. It will be held on Tuesday-Thursday from 9:00 – noon at Lake Country Soccer’s East Fields.
